[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경상남도의회는 29일 도의회 광장에서 지역 내 헌혈 참여 문화 확산을 위해 사랑의 헌혈 행사와 동절기 혈액 수급난 해소에 기여 하고자 진행됐다.
대한적십자사는 헌혈한 혈액은 장기간 보관이 불가능하기 때문에(농축적혈구 35일, 혈소판 5일), 적정 혈액보유량인 5일분을 유지하기 위해서는 지속적이고 꾸준한 헌혈이 필요하다고 밝혔다.
도의원 및 직원들은 헌혈버스에 올라 마스크 착용과 체온 측정, 손 소득 등 코로나19 예방수칙을 준수한 가운데 헌혈에 동참했다.
김진부 경상남도의회 의장은 “경남은 해마다 동절기에 혈액부족에 시달려왔고, 혈액 부족 사태 해결과 헌혈 문화 확대에 힘을 보태고자 헌혈 행사를 진행하게 되었으며, 이번 행사를 계기로 도민들도 헌혈에 적극 동참해 주시기를 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
