브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 대통령실은 5일 김종대 전 정의당 의원의 '관저 이전에 천공이 개입했다'는 주장에 대해 "가짜뉴스"라며 법적 대응을 시사했다.
대통령실 대변인실은 이날 오후 "김종대 전 의원이 "지난 4월 대통령실 및 관저 이전 과정에서 천공이 경호처장과 함께 육군참모총장 공관을 미리 둘러봤고, 이후 대통령 관저가 한남동 외교공관으로 바뀌었다"라는 '거짓 폭로'를 했다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
대통령실은 "경호처장은 천공과 일면식도 없을 뿐 아니라, 천공이 육군참모총장 공관을 둘러본 사실 자체가 없다"면서 "천공은 대통령실 이전 과정에 어떠한 형태로도 관여된 바가 전혀 없음을 분명히 밝힌다"고 강조했다.
이어 "야권 정치인들이 '청담동 술자리', '캄보디아 조명'에 이어 아무렇지도 않게 또다시 가짜뉴스를 퍼뜨리는 것은 '민주주의'의 근간을 훼손하는 행위"라며 "대통령실은 '가짜뉴스'에 대해서는 일관된 원칙에 따라 법적 책임을 물을 것"이라고 전했다.
그러면서 김종대 전 의원을 향해서도 "발언 철회 및 사과와 이를 그대로 받아 쓴 매체들의 기사 삭제를 강력히 요청한다"고 덧붙였다.
