아세안 10개국 중견 공무원으로 구성된 연수단 22명이 지능형도시와 공공서비스 시설을 견학하기 위해 14일 세종시를 찾았다.

인사혁신처 협조로 진행된 이번 시찰은 아세안과 한·중·일 인사행정협의체인 ‘ACCSM+3(ASEAN+3 Cooperation on Civil Service Matters)’ 사업 일환으로 추진됐으며 세종시의 선진 공공서비스와 지능형 도시 정책을 견학하고자 마련됐다.

ACCSM+3는 아세안과 한·중·일의 인적자원관리, 전자 거버넌스(E-Governance), 공공분야 효과성·투명성·효율성 제고 등 분야에 상호협력을 도모하고자 아세안 10개국과 한·중·일로 구성된 행정협력기구다.

이날 연수단은 도시통합정보센터와 자동크린넷, 시청 민원실 등 주요 시설을 방문해 방범·교통·방재 등 스마트서비스, 생활폐기물 처리 과정, 각종 민원신청 및 발급서비스 사례를 직접 생생하게 견학했다.

이용일 국제관계대사는 “국가 행정 수도이자 21세기 첨단도시로 건설돼 최고 수준의 공공행정 서비스를 제공하고 있는 우리시가 해외 공무원들의 현장 견학 장소로 꼽히고 있다”라며 “앞으로 각종 정부·연구기관에서 추진 중인 프로그램에 세종시 견학을 적극적으로 추진해 세종 국제적 위상을 제고하겠다”라고 말했다.
