반정부 시민 단체인 촛불행동 측의 19차 시위가 지난 12월 17일 오후 서울 광화문-숭례문-서울역-삼각지역 인근에서 열렸다.
김민웅 촛불행동 상임대표는 이 시위의 연설을 통해 “오늘도 우리는 전국 총집결에 성공했습니다. 저자들이 방해한 행진도, 거침없이 이뤄냈습니다. 그 어떤 것도 우리의 앞길을 가로막을 수 없습니다. 윤석열과 그 일당들은 매일 몹쓸 패륜을 저지르고 있지 않습니까? 이들은 반드시 몰아내야 합니다.”고 전제하고 “2022년 우리는 집결하는데, 뭉치는데 성공했습니다. 2023년에는 우리의 조직화 수준을 더욱 한층 높이고 강하게 만들어야 합니다. 그것이 우리의 과제입니다. 촛불을 든 국민들의 조직이 저들을 두렵게 할 정도가 되어야 합니다. 그것이 승리의 요체입니다. <촛불행동>이 그 중심에 흔들림없이 서겠습니다”고 주장했다.
이어 “<촛불행동>은 여러분들의 것입니다. 단결한 민중만이 승리합니다. 우리는 지금 주권혁명 중입니다. 2016년 촛불혁명 이후 우리는 흩어지고 말았습니다. 그러나 이제 다시는 흩어지는 법이 없을 것입니다. 새로운 세상을 함께 만들기 위해 한번 잡은 손, 결코 놓치지 않을 것입니다. 강력한 주권자가 될 것입니다”고 덧붙였다.

이 시위대는 시위 참석자가 늘어나 서울시청-숭례문-서울역 일대까지 2km 정도의 긴 대오(사진 참조)를 이뤘다. 날씨가 추운 겨울인데도, 이 시위에 참석하는 참석자가 늘어나는 양상이다. 시위 참석자가 늘어나 나라가 시끌시끌. “권력자들, 이 정도 군중 시위에도 놀라지 않나?”

Anti-government protests demanding the resignation of the Yoon Seok-yeol regime “form a long line of about 2 km”

The 19th demonstration by the anti-government civic group Candlelight Movement was held on the afternoon of December 17 near Gwanghwamun Gate - Sungnyemun Gate - Seoul Station - Samgak Area. Kim Min-woong, standing representative of the Candlelight Movement, said in his speech at the protest, “Today, too, we succeeded in rallying across the country. The march that the authors interrupted was accomplished without hesitation. Nothing can stand in our way. Aren't Seok-Yeol Yoon and his gang committing vile immorality every day? They must be driven out,” presupposed, “In 2022, we assemble, and we succeeded in uniting. In 2023, we need to raise our level of organization even higher and make it stronger. That's our challenge. The organization of the people holding the candle should be enough to frighten them. That's the key to victory. <Candlelight Action> will stand at the center without wavering.”
He continued, “<Candlelight Action> belongs to you. Only the people united will win. We are currently in the midst of a sovereignty revolution. After the candlelight revolution in 2016, we were scattered. But now there will be no law to scatter again. We will never let go of the hand we held once to create a new world together. It will be a powerful sovereign,” Oh added.
The number of demonstrators increased and formed a 2km-long line (see photo) from Seoul City Hall to Sungnyemun Gate to Seoul Station. Even though the weather is cold in winter, the number of attendees attending this demonstration is increasing. “People in power, aren’t you surprised at this level of crowd protest?”
