브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 정치권은 지난 26일 북한이 날려보낸 무인기 5대가 7시간 가량 우리 영공을 침범한데 대해, 우리 군 대응을 맹비판하며 대책 마련을 강조했다.
주호영 국민의힘 원내대표는 27일 오전 원내대책회의에서 "이번엔 우리가 철저히 당했다"며 "어제 북한의 무인기 여러대가 서울 상공과 경기도 민가지역까지 내려왔다는데 국민들의 불안감을 이루 말할 수가 없다"고 밝혔다.
그는 "대응과정에서 우리 전투기가 추락한 것은 둘째치고 적의 무인기가 서울 중심까지 아무 제지없이 날라 온 자체가 너무 충격적"이라고 강조했다.
이어 "군은 국민의 생명과 재산을 지키는 최후의 보루"라며 "국방은 단 한순간의 실수나 빈틈이 있어선 안 된다. 8년 전에도 이런 침범이 있었는데 왜 제대로 대비하지 못했는지 검열하고 대비해야 한다"고 했다.
그러면서 "내일 소집되는 국회 국방위원회를 중심으로 대책을 마련해서 우리 영공이 침탈당하는 일이 없도록 대비해주기 바란다"고 당부했다.
4성 장군 출신으로 국회 국방위원회 소속인 김병주 더불어민주당 의원도 26일 페이스북을 통해 "우리 군의 대비태세 수준이 이 정도밖에 되지 않는지 묻지 않을 수 없다"며 "무인기에 폭탄이 있었다거나 자폭을 시도했다면, 인근 지역의 인명 피해나 재산 피해는 분명히 있었을 것"이라고 우리 군의 대응 부실을 꼬집었다.
김병주 의원은 "공항 운영 중단과 전투기와 헬기 소리에 우리 국민은 불안에 떨었다. 현재 정부는 강릉 현무 낙탄 당시처럼, 우리 국민의 안전과 안녕에는 전혀 관심이 없는 모습"이라며 "북한 무인기 침투에 따른 군의 통합방위체계와 경보체계 등이 정상적으로 작동했는지 확인해야 한다"고 말했다.
이어 "현재 1~2대의 북한 무인기 출현에 대한 우리 군의 매뉴얼을 다수의 무인기 출현에 대한 대응 매뉴얼로 개선하기 바란다"며 "즉각적인 군사대비태세의 점검이 필요하다. 또 다시 이번 전투기 추락 같은 작전 실패가 발생한다면 북한의 비웃음만 살 것"이라고 했다.
