브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 검찰은 '서해 공무원 피살 사건' 관련, 박지원 전 국가정보원장과 서욱 전 국방부 장관, 노은채 전 국정원 비서실장을 첩보 삭제 혐의로 불구속 기소했다.
서울중앙지검 공공수사1부(부장검사 이희동)는 29일 국정원법 위반 혐의로 박지원 전 원장과 노은채 전 비서실장을 불구속 기소했다. 서욱 전 장관에 대해선 직권남용권리행사 방해 혐의 등을 물어 불구속 기소했다.
검찰은 이들이 2020년 9월 22일 서해 상에서 북한군이 쏜 총에 맞아 숨진 공무원 고(故) 이대준씨 사건을 은폐하기 위해 관련 첩보 보고서 등을 삭제한 혐의를 적용했다.
검찰에 따르면 박지원 전 원장은 피격 다음날인 9월 23일 열린 1차 관계장관회의에서 서훈 전 국가안보실장으로부터 '보안 유지' 지시를 받고, 사건 관련 첩보 보고서 등 자료를 무단 삭제하도록 지시한 혐의가 있다고 봤다.

서욱 전 장관의 경우에는 관계장관회의 직후 퇴근한 국방부 실무자를 재출근시켜 밈스(MIMS, 군사정보체계)에 탑재된 군 첩보 관련 문건의 삭제를 지시한 혐의다.
서 전 장관은 또한 같은해 9월 24일 해양수산부 소속 공무원을 통해 '자진 월북' 취지가 담긴 허위 보고서를 작성하게 하거나 허위 발표자료 등의 작성 및 배부를 지시한 혐의도 받는다.
노은채 전 실장은 박지원 전 원장의 지시를 받고 국정원 직원을 통해 첩보 수십건을 삭제시킨 혐의다.
한편, 이들은 모두 혐의를 부인하고 있다. 박지원 전 원장은 첩보 삭제를 지시하지 않았다고 여러차례 주장했고, 서욱 전 장관 역시 보안을 위해 첩보의 배포선 조정을 한 것이라고 주장하고 있다.

On the 29th, the prosecution indicted former National Intelligence Service Director Park Ji-won, former Defense Minister Seo Wook, and former NIS chief Noh Eun-chae on charges of removing intelligence in connection with the "murder of a West Sea official."
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office indicted former director Park Ji-won and former chief of staff Roh Eun-chae without detention on charges of violating the NIS law. Former Minister Seo Wook was detained without detention on charges of obstructing the exercise of authority and abuse of authority.
The prosecution charged them with deleting related intelligence reports to cover up the case of the late civil servant Lee Dae-joon, who was shot and killed by North Korean soldiers in the West Sea on September 22, 2020.
According to the prosecution, former director Park Ji-won was suspected of receiving "security maintenance" orders from former head of the National Security Office Seo Hoon at the first meeting of related ministers held on September 23, the day after the attack, and ordering unauthorized deletion of data such as intelligence reports related to the case.
In the case of former Minister Seo Wook, a working-level official of the Ministry of National Defense, who left work immediately after the related ministers' meeting, was charged with ordering the deletion of military intelligence documents mounted on the MIMS.
Former Minister Seo is also accused of having a public official from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries write a false report containing the purpose of "self-defeating North Korea" or ordering the preparation and distribution of false announcement materials on September 24 of the same year.
Roh Eun-chae is accused of deleting dozens of intelligence cases through NIS staff under the direction of former director Park Ji-won.
Meanwhile, they all deny the allegations. Former director Park Ji-won has repeatedly claimed that he did not order the deletion of intelligence, and former minister Seo Wook also claims that he adjusted the distribution line of intelligence for security.
