[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 지역을 대표할 수 있는 우수한 공예품과 관광 기념품의 개발을 지원해 공예문화산업 활성화를 위해 ‘2023년 우수공예품 개발장려금 지원사업’을 추진한다.
선정기준은 진주시, 경남도와 대한민국 공예품대전, 관광기념품 경진대회 입상 성적과 출품 횟수, 공예품 생산자 자질과 생산능력, 지역특산품 개발과 상품화 품질인증 획득, 지역 공예산업 발전 참여도와 공헌도 등이다.
진주시보조금관리위원회 심사를 거쳐 선정된 20개 업체 중 상위 8개 업체에는 각 290만 원, 나머지 12개 업체에는 각 250만 원의 장려금이 지급된다.
개발장려금을 지원받은 업체는 오는 5월 말까지 공예품 개발을 완료한 후, 6월 진주시 공예품대전 및 올해 하반기 경상남도 공예품대전과 대한민국 공예품대전에 출품해야 한다.
접수기간은 오는 23일까지이며, 지원대상은 공고일 현재 진주시에 주민등록상 주소를 두거나 진주시에 사업자등록을 한 공예품 제작업체와 제작자로, 신청서를 작성해 진주목공예전수관에 접수하면 된다.
진주시 관계자는 “지난해 대한민국 공예품대전에서 문화재청장상(1명)을 포함한 4명이 수상하고, 경상남도 공예품대전 단체 우수상을 수상하는 등 진주공예의 우수성을 이미 입증하였으며, 이번 지원사업을 통해 공예문화산업이 더욱 확산 될 것으로 기대한다.”고 밝혔다.
