[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 함안군이 '중소도시 스마트시티 조성사업’을 추진하고 있는 가운데 10일 중간보고회를 개최했다.
중소도시 스마트시티 조성사업은 국토교통부 공모사업으로 소규모 도시의 지역문제해결 및 가치향상을 위해 지역특화형 스마트 솔루션 조성을 위한 스마트시티 확산사업이다.
함안군은 교통안전·관광·주민편익 등 3개 분야의 스마트 솔루션을 발굴해, 지난해 경남에서 유일하게 군 단위 지자체에서 국비 공모사업에 선정되는 쾌거를 거뒀다.
국·도비 24억 원을 지원 받아 총 사업비 40억 원으로 계획수립부터 솔루션의 구축·운영단계까지 서비스 이용자가 참여하는 주민 참여형 모델로 추진하고 있다.
지난해 9월 착수해 오는 8월 말 준공 예정으로 그동안 면밀한 현장분석과 지역주민의 체감도를 높이기 위해 2회에 걸쳐 군민참여 리빙랩을 추진했다.
이를 통해 서비스 기능 및 설치위치 선정 등 실시설계를 최종 확정해 군민들이 보다 더 빠른 시간 내 스마트시티를 체험할 수 있도록 준공 시기를 앞당겨 상반기 중 사업완료를 목표로 하고 있다.
조근제 군수는 “함안군 중소도시 스마트시티 조성사업은 군민이 체감하고 함안의 가치를 향상시키는 IOT기반 디지털 기술을 접목한 새로운 도시 운영·관리 모델로서 2023년 계획 중인 스마트시티 통합플랫폼과 연계하여 함안군을 데이터 기반 운영도시로 전환하는데 적극적으로 활용 할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
