브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 20일 오전 북한이 동해상으로 단거리탄도미사일(SRBM)을 발사했다. 지난 18일 대륙간탄도미사일(ICBM) '화성-15형' 발사한 뒤 이틀만에 또 다시 미사일 도발을 감행했다.
합동참모본부 발표에 따르면 북한은 평안남도 숙천 일대에서 이날 오전 7시께부터 7시 11분경 동해상으로 SRBM 2발을 발사했다.
탄도미사일은 각각 약 390㎞, 340㎞를 비행한 후 동해상에 떨어졌으며 발사 미사일 제원과 궤도 등 자세한 내용은 한미 정보당국이 분석 중에 있다.
북한은 미사일 발사 사실을 이날 성명을 통해 직접 밝히기도 했다.
북한은 "방사포병 화력 구분대들은 위력시위사격을 실시할 데 대한 명령에 따라 20일 아침 600㎜ 방사포를 동원해 발사점으로부터 각각 계산된 395㎞와 337㎞ 사거리의 가상표적을 설정하여 동해상으로 2발의 방사포탄을 사격했다"고 발표했다.
이어 "600㎜ 방사포는 우리 군대의 최신형 다연발 정밀공격무기체계로서 적의 작전비행장당 1문, 4발을 할당해둘 정도의 가공할 위력을 자랑하는 전술핵 공격수단"이라고 설명했다.
북한이 언급한 '600㎜ 방사포'는 우리 군에선 단거리탄도미사일의 한 종류로 분류하고 있다.
또한 북한이 가상표적으로 설정한 거리는 우리 군의 충북 청주 F-35A 기지와 충북 오산과 전북 군산 미 공군기지 등을 가상목표로 설정해 쏜 것으로 보인다.
이에 우리 군은 북한이 한·미 연합훈련에 대한 반발성 미사일 도발을 벌인 것으로 분석하고 있다.
조선중앙통신도 이날 "미국과 남조선 괴뢰들은 2월 19일 전략폭격기 B-1B와 스텔스전투기 F-35 등 10여대를 동원한 연합공중훈련을 또다시 벌려놓았다"면서 "전술핵공격수단인 초대형방사포를 동원한 오늘의 사격훈련을 통해 공중우세를 자고자대(自高自大·스스로 잘난 체하며 교만함)하는 미국, 남조선 연합공군역량에 대한 인민군대의 철저한 억제 준비 태세와 대응 의지가 남김없이 과시됐다"고 비난했다.
한편 합참은 "북한의 연이은 탄도미사일 발사는 한반도는 물론 국제사회의 평화와 안정을 해치는 중대한 도발 행위이며, '유엔 안보리 결의'에 대한 명백한 위반"이라며 북한의 어떠한 도발에도 압도적으로 대응할 수 있는 능력을 기초로 확고한 대비태세를 유지하고 있다"고 강조했다.
