이들은 지난 2월1일, 평화를 지키기 위해 민간이라도 나서야 한다는 문제의식으로 ｢평화민족통일원탁회의｣가 정식 출범했다. 남북 동포 모두의 파멸을 가져올 전쟁을 막고, 평화를 지키기 위해 한민족이 가진 모든 역량을 모으자는 결의를 다졌다.
