해외입양인들과 함께하는 문화예술협회(KADU, 대표 박찬호)는 3월15일자 보도자료에서 “국가가 끌어안지 못하고 해외로 송출한 아이들이 어엿한 예술가가 돼 돌아온다. 어머니의 나라, 마더랜드(motherland)를 그리고 표현하기 위해서다. 국가는 그들을 보듬지 못했지만, 그들은 모국을 잊지 않은 것”이라면서 “해외 입양인들과 함께하는 문화예술협회(KADU, 대표 박찬호)는 해외입양 70년의 해를 맞아 역대 최다 해외 입양인들이 고국을 찾아 마더랜드를 주제로 작품 전시회를 펼치고 정체성을 확인할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
