브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 윤석열 대통령과 기시다 후미오 일본 총리가 최근 가진 한일 정상회담에서 위안부 합의와 독도 문제까지 언급했다는 일본 언론 보도가 나와 파장이 일고 있다.
일본 언론들은 외무성 고위 관계자의 말을 인용, 기시다 총리가 정상회담에서 독도와 위안부 합의, 후쿠시마산 수산물 수입 규제, 2018년 초계기-레이더 갈등에 대해서도 거론했다고 보도했다.
박진 외교부 장관은 21일 국회 외교통일위원회 전체회의에서 독도 문제와 위안부 합의가 언급됐다는 보도에 대해 "일본 말을 믿나, 한국 정부 말을 믿나"라며 "정상회담에서 논의된 적 없다"고 선을 그었다.
박 장관은 "독도 문제에 대한 우리 정부의 입장은 일관된다"며 "독도가 역사적, 지리적, 국제법적으로 우리 대한민국의 고유 영토라고 하는 점은 불변의 원칙"이라고 강조했다.
그는 또한 후쿠시마 수산물 수입 문제에 대해서도 "제가 회담에 있었던 내용을 말씀드릴 수는 없지만 우리 정부의 입장은 잘 알고 계시지 않나"라며 "국민의 안전과 건강이 최우선 아니겠나"라고 전했다.
그러면서 "우리는 대승적 결단으로 주도적인 해법을 마련한 것이다. 일본에 대해서 정말 저희가 있는 대로 당당하게 자주외교를 했다"고 덧붙였다.
한편 외교부는 이날 브리핑을 통해 "최근 일본 언론 등에서의 왜곡 보도에 대해 정부는 외교채널을 통해 (일본 외무성에) 엄중히 항의하고 재발방지를 촉구했다"라며 "상대국 정상의 언급 내용을 밝히지 않는 것은 외교 관례상 당연한 것이고, 또한 이를 국내 정치적으로 정쟁화하는 것도 바람직하지 않다"라고 밝혔다.
