[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 산청군이 올해 들어 인구가 지속적으로 증가하는 등 괄목한 성과를 내고 있다.
특히 경남도내 지자체 중에서는 지난 1월부터 지난달까지 유일하게 인구 증가세를 보여 눈길을 끈다.
5일 행정안전부 주민등록인구통계에 따르면 지난달 산청군 인구는 3만 4109명으로 2월보다 6명 증가했다.
지난해와 비교하면 1월 65명 증가, 2월 10명 증가 , 3월 6명 증가 등 올해 산청군 인구는 모두 81명이 늘었다.
산청군의 올해 출생, 사망 등 자연감소는 122명이다.
전입인구는 1047명, 전출인구는 842명으로 이동변동은 205명이 증가했고 주민등록 말소가 4건, 말소됐던 주민등록이 2건이다.
지난해 대비 인구 증가율은 0.23%로 지난 1월부터 도내 1위를 유지하고 있다.
산청군은 이 같은 성과에 힘입어 인구 늘리기 등 지방소멸대응을 위해 박차를 가한다는 계획이라고 전했다.
먼저 2024년 지방소멸대응기금 투자계획 평가에서 우수한 등급을 받기 위해 지역여건 분석을 통한 생활 인프라, 주거, 교통, 복지의료, 문화, 관광, 경제, 교육 등 각 분야에서 전략적으로 사업을 발굴하고 있다.
또 지역주민들의 의견을 수렴하기 위해 지역 활력 주민 아이디어 공모, 청년 간담회, 귀농귀촌 간담회, 지역주민 설문조사 등을 실시하고 있다.
이달 중에는 인구감소대응 포럼도 개최할 예정이다.
