진주시, 2023년 임업직불금 신청 받아

[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 오는 17일부터 5월 19일까지 2023년 임업·산림 공익직접지불금(이하 ‘임업직불금’)을 신청 받는다.

임업직불금은 지난 2019년 4월 1일부터 지난 2022년 9월 30일까지 임업경영체 등록을 완료한 산지에서 임업에 실제 종사하고 있는 임업인과 농업법인 대상이다.

임업직불제는 지난 2022년에 처음 시행된 제도로 임업·산림의 공익기능 증진과 임업인의 낮은 소득을 보전하기 위해 임업직불제법에서 정한 자격을 갖춘 임업인에게 매년 직불금을 지급하는 제도다.

진주시는 지난해 처음으로 임업인 389명에게 임업직불금을 지급, 총 지급액은 7억2000만원으로 1차 6억8000만원을 지급, 나머지 4000만원은 산림청에 추가 예산을 확보해 오는 5월 내 지급할 계획이다.
