11일 경주시에 따르면 접수 기간은 5월 8일부터 12일까지이며 , 공고문 및 접수서류 서식은 경주시청 및 (재)경주문화재단 홈페이지를 통해 다운로드할 수 있다.
자격은 공고일 기준(23년 4월 10일) 5년 이상 경주에 주소를 둔 자 또는 경주 소재 직장 및 기타 단체에 10년 이상 근무하면 가능하며, 사망자의 경우 상속인이 수상할 수 있다.
단 특별상은 타 시·도 거주자 중 경주시 문화발전에 기여한 공로가 뚜렷한 자로 제한된다. 부문별 수상 자격은 공고문을 참고하면 된다.
모든 부문 수상 대상자는 개인에 한하며, 경주시문화상 심사위원은 수상대상에서 제외된다. 또한 수상은 동일 공적으로 1회에 한하며, 이중 수상은 불가하다.
후보자 추천은 경주시 읍면동장 또는 경주시 소재 각급 유관기관단체장이 할 수 있으며, 개인이 추천할 경우 각 부문에 상당한 관련이 있는 5인 이상이 추천할 때만 유효하다.
심사는 부문별 후보자를 대상으로 경주시 조례와 시행규칙에 따라 구성된 각계 전문가들이 맡는다.
시상식은 경주시민의 날인 6월 8일에 개최하고, 수상자에게는 상패와 상금 각 300만원을 지급한다.
주낙영 시장은 “향토 문화의 창달과 지역사회 발전에 헌신하신 분들을 찾아 시상하기 위한 이번 문화상 공모에 많은 참여를 바란다”고 당부했다.
한편 경주시문화상은 향토문화 창달과 지역사회 발전에 공로가 뚜렷한 자를 발굴해 시상하는 것으로 1989년부터 지난해까지 146명이 선정됐다. 지난해 수상자는 교육·학술 부문에 故이근직 교수, 문화·예술 부문에 최용대 작가 등 2명이다.
