[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 의령군이 경남도가 올해 처음으로 실시하는 청년 거점공간 공모사업에 선정됐다.
11일 군에 따르면 청년 복합 커뮤니티센터 ‘의령 청춘만개’가 최종 선정돼 총사업비 10억원을 확보했다.
이번 공모사업은 경남도가 청년 공간 조성 등 지역 청년들에게 실질적으로 도움이 되는 사업 추진에 중점을 두고 지원 대상을 선정했는데 의령군과 하동군이 각각 최종 선정됐다.
'청년 거점공간 조성사업'은 공유오피스, 공유주방, 창업 공간 등 지역 청년들의 이주와 정착에 필요한 공간을 조성하는 사업으로 시설 조성을 위해 10억원의 사업비가 투입된다.
의령군은 폐교 부지를 활용해 청년의 직업, 휴식, 배움까지 경험할 수 있는 의령형 청년 복합 공간을 조성할 계획이다.
의령군은 청년공간 조성을 위해 지난 10월 칠곡면 신포리 구 의춘중학교 부지를 매입했으며 청년들을 위한 공간 구축 4단계 계획을 순차적으로 마련했다.
그 첫 단계는 청년 주거공간인 ‘사각사각 청년하우스’를 조성할 예정이며 두 번째 단계는 이번 공모 선정을 통해 청년 복합 커뮤니티센터를 조성할 계획이다.
또 청년들의 창업, 창농을 위한 의령청년 드림센터 및 복합문화공간을 추가로 조성해 칠곡면 일대를 활력 넘치는 ‘청년 마을’로 변모시킨다는 계획이다.
오태완 군수는 “이번 성과는 청년들의 목소리를 경청하고 이를 곧바로 실행에 옮긴 적응 행정의 결과물”이라며 “의령은 청년들에게 기회의 땅이다 청년들의 정착과 활력을 돕는 맞춤형 청년정책으로 청년들의 꿈을 지원 사격하겠다”고 말했다.
