[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 합천 황매산 철쭉제가 4년만에 개최된다.
4월 29일부터 5월 14일까지 천상의 화원에서 개최되는 이번 합천 황매산 철쭉제는 “다시 돌아온 황매산의 봄, 여러분께 드립니다.”라는 주제로 다양한 볼거리와 체험거리를 준비하며 상춘객을 맞이 할 준비를 하고 있다.
합천황매산군립공원은 ‘한국 관광 100선’에 2회 연속 선정되면서 공식적으로 전국 대표관광지로 인정 받고 있다.
최근 영화, 드라마, 특히 방탄소년단 리더 RM(김남준)의 첫 솔로 앨범 타이틀곡 ‘들꽃놀이’ 뮤직비디오가 황매산군립공원에서 촬영돼 아티스트들에게도 사랑받는 공간이 됐다.

올해 봄꽃은 따뜻한 날씨로 인해 지난해보다 5일~7일 정도 일찍 개화 할 것으로 예상하고 있다.
최근 기상으로는 4월 셋째주에 개화를 시작해 5월 초중순에 질 것으로 예상한다. 합천 황매산 철쭉군락지는 꽃이 피는 시기가 군락지별로 3일~5일 정도 차이가 나며 1군락지에서 4군락지까지 해발700m~900m에 조성돼 있어 축제 기간 언제든 방문하면 황매산이 주는 봄 선물을 받아 갈 수 있다.
특히 산철쭉은 새벽에 진하고 생기있는 색을 띠어 휴일 기준 오전 7시 이전에 방문객이 많이 몰려 정상 주차장이 만차 상태가 되니 방문시 유의해야 한다.

교통약자들도 전동카트를 타고 편히 드넓은 황매산군립공원을 누빌 수 있다.
철쭉개화 기간에 40분 내외로 진행되는 카트 투어는 철쭉과억새사이(휴게소 건물) 를 시작점으로 숲해설가의 재밌는 황매산 이야기를 들으며 봄 기운을 느낄 수 있다.
7명 이내 소규모 인원만 이용 가능하며, 신청은 황매산군립공원 홈페이지에서 선착순으로 예약 접수한다.
신청대상은 만70세이상, 장애인, 미취학 아동 및 보호자 1인 등이다. 주말 등 공휴일은 휴무며 우천시 취소 될 수 있다.
