한중교류촉진위원회는 4월20일자 보도자료를 통해 “한중교류촉진위원회(위원장 이창호)와 대한기자협회(이사장 김필용)가 지난 4월 20일 오전 11시에 한중언론 네트워크 형성 및 한·중 언론발전 상생교류를 위해 ‘한·중 상생교류에 관한 공동업무 협약’을 체결했다.“고 밝혔다.

이어 “미래를 살아갈 우리의 미래는 언론 정보 기반으로 국경과 인종을 초월하여 전 세계인과 만나는 경계없는 삶을 살아가게 될 것이다. 이에 한중교류촉진위원회에서는 이창호 위원장(한중교류친선대사)은 ‘한중언론 네트워크 고위급 활성화’를 추진하고 있다. 이번 협약은 한중언론 네트워크 활성화를 위한 위원회 차원에서 한·중 양국의 언론인 소통·협력 강화를 통한 혁신 역량 강화를 하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이번 업무협약은 △한중언론 상생 교류 협력사의 교류 △한중언론 기자의 교류 △한중 언론관련 DB수립 △한중언론인력 및 한중매체자원 상호교류 및 CEO(최고경영자)과정운영△기타 한중언론 지도력의 발전을 위하여 수요된다고 여겨지는 상호협의사항 등 실천하는 것을 주요 내용으로 한다”고 전하고 “공주대학교 김문준교수는 ‘한·중 언론발전 상생 교류가 굉장히 중요하다. 이번 협약을 통해 한중언론이 의미있는 경험이 될 것 같아 무척 기대된다.’고 밝혔다.”고 알렸다.
한중교류촉진위원회 이창호 위원장은 “중국 언론에 관심을 가지고 업무 협약을 추진해 준 대한기자협회에 감사의 인사를 드린다. 양 기관 협력 증진과 한중 언론발전에 성공적 발전을 위해 필요한 지원을 아끼지 않을 것이다.”라고 강조했다. 대한기자협회 김필용 이사장은 “이번 협약은 다양한 중국 언론 체험 및 언론 성장 교류다. 중국교류의 경험을 가질 수 있을 것이고, 소속된 기자들은 중국 언론 핵심 과정 및 교류를 통해 한중언론 혁신의 기회가 될 것이라고 확신한다.”라고 피력했다.
