브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 식품의약품안전처가 동아제약이 제조한 어린이 해열제 ‘챔프시럽’에 대해 잠정 제조·판매·사용중지 처분을 내렸다.
식약처는 최근 갈변 현상이 발생한 동아제약 챔프시럽(성분명 아세트아미노펜)에 대해 시중 유통제품을 직접 수거해 검사한 결과, 부적합이 확인된 2개 제조번호를 ‘강제 회수’로 전환했으며 나머지 전체 제조번호에 대해서도 ‘자발적 회수’하도록 권고했다.
식약처 관계자는 "챔프시럽은 일정 수준 이하 미생물이 허용되는 시럽제로, 이번 강제 회수 조치 대상에선 질병을 일으키는 병원성 미생물은 검출되지 않았으나 진균이 정해진 기준보다 많이 검출됐다"고 설명했다.
식약처는 이에 따라 해당 품목의 제조·판매를 잠정 중지시키는 한편, 의·약사와 소비자에게는 해당 제품의 사용을 중지하고 다른 대체 의약품으로 전환하도록 홍보할 방침이다.
아울러 챔프시럽의 최근 갈변 현상이 발생된 특정 제조번호 제품 외에도 다른 전체 제조번호 제품 품질을 확인하기 위해 식약처가 지정한 시험검사기관에서 모든 제조번호 제품에 대해 검사하고 그 결과를 제출할 것을 동아제약에 지시했다.
식약처 관계자는 "챔프시럽과 관련성이 의심되는 부작용 발생 등 이상 징후가 있는 경우 즉시 한국의약품안전관리원에 신고해달라"며 "동아제약은 소비자가 갖고 있는 챔프시럽 제품에 대해 약국 등을 통해 반품과 환불을 진행할 예정이며, 온라인(동아제약 대표 누리집)으로도 환불 등을 진행할 예정"이라고 전했다.
