권기식 한중도시우호협회는 5월6일자 보도자료에서 “권기식 한중도시우호협회장은 지난 4월28일 서울 소공동 롯데호텔에서 중국 절강공상대학 지혜교육연구원 한국방문단(대표 신자웨이)과 만나 한중 대학생 교류를 위한 협력에 합의했다. 양측은 한중 대학생 교류, 유학 정보 제공 등 청년 교류사업을 함께 진행하기로 했다”고 밝혔다.
권기식 회장은 "한중 청년 교류는 미래를 위한 소중한 자산"이라며 "중국의 대표적인 경제발전 지역인 저장성과 보다 다양한 인적 교류가 이루어지기 바란다"고 말했다. 신신자웨이 대표는 "한국의 대표적인 한중 교류단체인 한중도시우호협회와 한중 대학생 교류사업을 함께 하게된 것이 매우 기쁘다"며 "빠른 시일에 권 회장이 항저우를 방문해 구체적인 논의를 하기 바란다"고 말했다.
