‘거창창포원 주민 참여정원’은 주민이 참여해 거창창포원에 개성 있는 정원을 직접 조성하고 전시하는 활동을 통해 정원문화 확산 기반을 마련하기 위한 공모사업으로 총 6팀이 참여했다.

경남도립거창대학 평생교육원 ‘손바닥 정원’ 수강생 팀은 백점현 담당 강사의 지도로 총 5개 팀 19명이 참여했으며 공모주제인 ‘봄날의 정원’을 각 팀별 개성을 담아 쉬어~가든 달콤한 휴식 행복은 이곳에 너와 나 우리 행복담다 등 다양한 정원을 조성했다.

또한, 거창군새마을회에서는 ‘봄날의 정원’을 주제로 그동안 새마을지도자들의 나무심기 사업과 꽃길 가꾸기 사업으로 보람과 긍지를 가지는 과정을 ‘웃음 꽃길과 행복나무 숲’으로 표현했다.

이번 ‘거창창포원 주민 참여정원’ 작품은 오는 18일부터 28일까지 거창창포원 내 국화원 앞 소광장에 전시될 예정이다.
