동국대 WISE캠퍼스, 한국-인도 고등학생 온라인 글로컬 멘토링 프로그램 운영

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 지난 9일부터 25일까지 경주와 인도의 고등학생을 대상으로 온라인 멘토링 프로그램을 시행한다고 16일 밝혔다.

대학에 따르면 이번 프로그램은 주인도한국문화원과의 협력을 통해 글로컬 혁신 모델 모델로 추진되는 이번 프로그램은 동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스 가정교육과 주수언교수가 PD교수로 참여하고 가정교육과 재학생들이 멘토로, 경주여자정보고등학교와 인도 ASN Senior Secondary School 학생들이 멘티로 참여하게 된다.

한류 문화를 매개로 양국 학생들의 상호 이해도를 증진시키기 위해 △ 혜초스님 인도여행기를 통한 경주와 인도의 인연 찾기 △ 한국전통 매듭과 보자기에 대한 스토리텔링 △ K-Pop 한국어 수업 △ 메타버스에서 함께 즐기는 K-Culture 등 한국 전통문화를 함께 체험하고 한국 유학 등 진로 상담을 병행하게 된다.

동국대 WISE캠퍼스 이유경 국제교류처장은 “영어를 공용어로 하는 세계 1위 인구 국가인 인도는 현재 강한 한류 붐으로 한국에 대한 호감도가 매우 높아 대학 주도로 문화, 학문, 경제 등 인도와의 다양한 협력을 강화해 나갈 계획이며, 특히 지자체와 연계하여 우수한 인도 유학생을 유치하여지역거점 대학의 지속가능 발전을 선도하고, 지역 상생을 위한 정주형 핵심인력을 양성하기 위한 우리대학만의 특화된 글로컬 혁신 모델로 발전시켜 나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편 이영경 동국대 WISE캠퍼스총장은 인도와의 협력 모델 발굴을 통한 글로컬 가치 창출을 위해 지난 3월 6일부터 8일간 인도를 방문하여 자매대학, 주인도한국대사관, 주인도한국문화원 등과 교류했다.
