영천시의회사무국, 봄철 농가 일손돕기 나서

영천시의회에 따르면 이날 15명의 직원들은 농촌지역 인구감소와 고령화로 농촌 내 자체 노동력확보가 곤란하여 영농철 일손 부족이 더욱 심화되는 지역 농가에 자두 적과작업을 하며 힘을 보탰다.

나무마다 삼삼오오 나눠 정성으로 작업에 임한 직원들은 농촌의 어려움을 몸소 겪으며 농가에 조금이라도 도움이 되고자 최선을 다했다.

농가에서도 “본격적인 영농철이 되었으나 일손을 구하기 어려운 실정인데, 이렇게 직원분들이 와줘서 힘을 보태주니 큰 도움이 됐다.”며 “오늘의 도움이 좋은 결실을 맺을 것 같다.”고 감사의 마음을 전했다.

양만열 영천시의회 사무국장은 “어려울 때 함께 나누고 작은 보탬이 되고자 하는 마음으로 농가를 찾았다.”며, “앞으로도 농가의 어려움에 관심을 가지고 일손부족의 문제를 덜 수 있는 방안을 찾는 데에 계속해서 노력해나가겠다.”고 말했다.
