한국자유총연맹(총재 강석호, 이하 연맹)은 5월24일자 보도자료에서 “이날 오후 4시, 서울 광화문 동화면세점 앞에서 각계 관계자와 시민, 학생 등 300여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘무너진 정치, 미래 세대를 망친다’를 주제로 ‘제9차 자유민주주의와 국가안보 대국민 토론회’를 개최했다”고 알렸다.
이어 “토론회는 연맹 신동혁 사무총장의 배경 설명을 시작으로 민주주의는 어떻게 무너지는가에 대한 국민의 목소리를 전달하려는 토크 콘서트가 이어졌다. 토크콘서트는 개그맨 최국과 대안연대 김유진 사무총장의 사회로 전여옥 전 국회의원, 오세라비 작가, 이혜경 서울교육사랑 학부모연합 대표의 ‘무너진 정치, 미래 세대를 망친다’라는 주제 논의를 통해 사회 일각에서 제기되는 여러 문제점을 짚어보고 문제를 해결할 수 있는 대안을 모색했다”고 설명했다.
