5월27일 부처님오신날을 앞두고 코넌코리아(회장 표세진) 월드아트덱스포(WORLD ART DEXPO)에서만 독점으로 판매되는 대표적 대승불교 경전인 ‘현호경 NFT’가 뜨거운 반응을 얻고 있다.
코넌코리아측은 5월26일자 보도자료에서 “코넌코리아는 실물 현호경 NFT 5만 개 (한화 5억원 규모)가 시장에서 높은 참여율을 보이며 조기 완판되었다”고 밝혔다. 이 자료에서 “중국 5대(당 멸망 A.D.907-송통일 A.D.979년 시기) 최고의 서예가 양응식이 초서로 쓴 ‘현호경’ 은 서화 예술의 진정한 매력과 핵심 가치를 일깨우고 생활 불교교리를 내포한 당대 최고의 예술적 작품으로 평가받고 있다. '현호경'은 높이 1.67m, 길이 19.6m 비단에 3,227자가 주사되어 있으며 추정 가치는 1,000억 원 대를 호가하는 것으로 알려졌다”고 소개했다.
월드아트덱스포 관계자는 “현호경 NFT 2차 판매는 6월 21일 경으로 예정 중이며, 1차의 조기 완판에 힘입어 그 규모를 더욱 확대할 전망이다. 판매에 관한 사항은 공식 기사 및 홈페이지(dexpo.world)를 통해 확인할 수 있다. 2차 현호경 NFT 역시 월드아트덱스포에서만 구매 가능하다”고 설명했다.

한국미술관(관장 박선우, 서울 인사동 소재)은 5월28일까지 중국 ‘현호경’ 경전을 ‘천년의 만남전’이라는 주제로 전시한다고 밝혔다.

Ahead of Buddha’s birthday on May 27, Conun Korea (President Pyo Se-jin)’s representative Mahayana Buddhist sutra, ‘Hyeonhogyeong NFT’, sold exclusively at WORLD ART DEXPO, is receiving enthusiastic responses.
In a press release dated May 26, Conun Korea said, “Conun Korea has sold out 50,000 real Hyeonhokyung NFTs (KRW 500 million) with a high participation rate in the market and sold out early.” In this material, “'Hyeonhojing', written in cursive by Yang Eung-sik, the best calligrapher of China's 5th generation (Down of the Tang Dynasty, A.D. 907-Song Tongil, A.D. 979), awakens the true charm and core values of calligraphy and painting art and contains Buddhist doctrines for daily life.
