브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 중국 관영 영문매체 글로벌타임스는 국내 항공사들이 한·중 항공노선 일부를 중단시키는데 대해, 윤석열 정부의 외교 정책 탓이라고 꼬집으며 앞으로 한국에서 중국인 관광객을 보기 어려워질 것이라고 비난했다.
글로벌타임스는 25일 동샹룽 중국사회과학원 국가국제전략연구소 선임연구원의 말을 인용해 "항공사들이 탑승객 감소로 비용을 줄이기 위해 항공노선을 중단하는 것은 합리적"이라면서 "한중노선 승객이 적어진 배경에는 대만 문제에 대한 윤석열 대통령의 부적절한 발언 등 분명한 정치적 요인이 있다"고 주장했다.
동 선임연구원은 "윤석열 정부는 그동안 친미·친일 노선에 치우친 외교 정책을 펼치면서 중국·러시아와의 관계 악화와 한반도 긴장 고조에 대한 우려를 불러일으키는 등 명백한 부작용을 가져왔다"며 "한중 관계 회복을 위한 의지와 행동은 보이지 않고 있다"고 지적했다.
또한 사드(THAAD·고고도미사일방어체계) 배치 문제를 언급하며 "자신들의 주권 문제라는 점을 분별없이 강조하며 국제 사회 진영 분단을 가속화하는 ‘가치외교’를 내세우고 있는 것"이라고 진단했다.
그는 특히 "이제 중국인 관광객들에게 한국은 덜 매력적인 여행지가 됐고, 한국 제품 역시 인기가 덜하다"면서 중국 단체관광객들이 한국 면세점과 관광지에 몰려드는 모습은 앞으로는 보기 어려울 것이라는 분석도 내놨다.
한편 이 매체는 대한항공과 아시아나항공이 중국 일부 노선을 중단하는 사실만 전달하면서, 전체 운항 횟수가 전과 동일하거나 되려 늘어난 점에 대해선 언급하지 않았다.
앞서 대한항공은 김포∼베이징과 인천∼샤먼 노선 운항을 8∼10월 중단하겠다고 발표했다. 그러나 인천∼창사·웨이하이 노선 운항 재개를 통해 총 한중노선 항공편은 이달 주당 95회에서 내달 주당 124회로 늘어난다.
아시아나항공도 내달부터 김포∼베이징과 인천∼선전 노선을 운항 중단을 선언했지만 6∼8월 전체 한중노선 운항 횟수는 주당 85회로 동일하다.
