군에 따르면 환자는 증상 발생 전 집 주변 텃밭에서 농작업을 했으며 이후 복통, 설사 등의 증상으로 병원에 입원해 혈액유전자 검사를 실시한 결과 SFTS 양성으로 확인됐다.
