블랙이글스의 축하 에어쇼와 함께 시작한 이번 축제는 공식행사에서 편입 법률안이 국회를 통과하기까지의 여정과 공항도시 군위, 대구광역시 군위군의 미래를 담은 홍보영상 상영, 이철우 경북도지사, 김용판 국민의힘 대구시당위원장을 비롯한 많은 주요 인사들의 축하 메시지 영상, 주요 내빈들이 함께한 대구편입 축하 편입 선언 퍼포먼스 등을 선보일 예정이다.
공식행사 후에 진행되는 K-트롯 페스티벌은 김샘, 김규리, 반은혜 아나운서의 진행으로 이찬원, 장윤정, 나태주, 조명섭, 황민우, 황민호, 양지은, 은가은, 한봄, 강태풍, 레오 등의 트롯 가수들과 댄싱팀 진조크루가 출연해 흥겨운 축하 공연을 펼칠 예정이다. 행사 후반에는 환상의 불꽃쇼가 더해져 풍성한 볼거리도 제공된다.
