30일, 한의과대학에 따르면 Antioxidants는 피인용지수(IF. 학술잡지의 영향력을 측정하는 지표)가 7.675점, 분야별 학술잡지 순위(JCR mrnIF, 표준화된 순위보정 영향력지수)가 상위 10%내에 속하는 우수한 국제학술지이다.
이번 게재 확정 논문 제목은 ‘방사선과 온열요법의 병용요법, 시너지 항암 효과와 연구 동향에 집중’(영문명:Combination Therapy of Radiation and Hyperthermia, Focusing on the Synergistic Anti-Cancer Effects and Research Trends)으로, 권세은, 정수민 학생이 공동 제1저자, 백승호 교수가 교신저자로 Antioxidants 2023년 4월호에 논문을 게재하는 성과를 이뤘다.
권세은, 정수민 학생은 동국대학교 한의과대학에서 학부생을 대상으로 운영하는 연구 장학프로그램에 2022년 1학기부터 참여하여, 병리학 교실에서 백승호 교수와 온열치료의 항암효과에 대에 관심을 갖고 연구에 매진해 왔으며, 특히 전통적인 항암치료에서 아직도 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 방사선 치료 효과와 온열치료의 상승 작용에 대한 효과 및 기전에 호기심을 갖고 연구한 결과 논문을 완성할 수 있었다.
한의학과 3학년 권세은 학생은 “논문을 준비하면서 새롭게 알게 된 지식뿐만 아니라 매일 규칙적으로 출근하며 지치지 않고 탐구하는 끈기를 기를 수 있었다며, ”논문이 게재되어 연구 성과를 이루어 기쁘고 본 주제의 연구 흐름 경향을 파악하여 최근에는 다양한 항암치료와 결합됐을 때 부작용은 최소화하고 치료 효과는 높이는 방향으로 연구가 진행될 것이라 매우 기대된다.“고 말했다.
한편, 한의학과 3학년 정수민 학생은 “연구 동향을 분석하고 연구 전망을 어떻게 제시할지 논의하는 과정이 정말 재밌게 느껴졌고, 논문을 쓰면서 어렵고 불안한 마음이 들었는데 그때마다 교수님께서 충분히 잘 하고 있다고 말씀해주시고 어려움이 있을 때 도움을 주셔서 끝까지 잘 해낼 수 있었던 거 같다.”고 소감을 말했다.
