브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= bhc그룹의 대학생 봉사단체인 ‘해바라기 봉사단’은 지난 13일 서울 마포구에 위치한 사회복지법인 우리마포복지관에서 경로식당 봉사활동을 진행했다고 19일 밝혔다.
우리마포복지관은 노인일자리와 장애인 직업재활 등에 중점을 둔 지역복지관이다. 복지관 이용 어르신의 결식을 예방하고 건강유지를 도와 편안한 노년 생활이 될 수 있도록 급식지원사업을 시행하고 있다.
이날 해바라기 봉사단원들은 복지관 내 경로식당을 찾아 봉사활동에 나섰다. 가장 먼저 위생적인 식사 환경을 위해 식탁을 소독하고, 약 300분의 어르신들의 편안한 식사를 위한 배식 봉사를 진행했다. 배식판 세척과 설거지, 마지막 주변 정리를 하며 봉사활동을 마쳤다. 또한, 쿨패치를 전달하며 무더운 여름을 건강하게 이겨내시길 바라는 마음을 전했다.
bhc그룹 관계자는 “해바라기 봉사단은 단원 스스로 준비하고 참여하는 일련의 과정이 개인의 성장과 경험은 물론 봉사의 중요성을 이해할 수 있는 기회가 되는 등 여러 가지 의미가 담긴 사회공헌 프로그램”이라며 “bhc그룹은 해바라기 봉사단의 활동이 앞으로도 지역사회의 크고 작은 보탬이 될 수 있도록 아낌없는 응원과 지원을 이어갈 계획이다”고 전했다.
한편, 해바라기 봉사단은 대학생 청년봉사단체로 bhc그룹의 대표 사회공헌 프로그램이다. 2017년 창단 후 현재까지 도움이 필요한 지역사회 곳곳에서 활발하게 활동하고 있으며, 매년 선발된 단원들은 직접 기획한 봉사활동 프로그램으로 연간 12회의 봉사활동을 진행하고 있다.
