지난 7월14일. 김흥수 화가의 맏아들 김용환 대표(김흥수 미술관 준비위원)를 제주도 사귀포시의 '제주도 도립 현대미술관 김흥수 화가 아틀리에'에서 만났다. 이 가문은 이 세상이 하나 뿐인 그 무엇을 추구하는 가문이다.

김용환 대표(김흥수 미술관 준비위원)는 부친인 김흥수 화가의 미술관 건립을 위해 노력하고 있다. 김흥수 화가의 맏아들인 김용환 대표는 1972년, 캐나다로 이민했다. 지난해부터 제주도 서귀포시에 머물고 있다.
