브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 한국지역난방공사는 에너지 취약계층에게 고효율 선풍기 지원하기 위해 서울 사회복지공동모금회(서울 사랑의열매)에 1억원을 기부했다고 25일 밝혔다.
지난 24일 한국지역난방공사 사옥에서 진행된 기부금 전달식에는 한국지역난방공사 강진 경영관리처장, 서울 사랑의열매 신혜영 사무처장 및 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
한국지역난방공사의 임직원 봉사조직인 ‘행복나눔단’이 성금의 일부를 자발적으로 후원해 에너지 취약계층 지원에 힘을 보태기도 했다.
기부받은 성금은 성남시에 거주하는 에너지 취약계층 1000가구에 고효율 선풍기를 지원하는 사업에 쓰일 예정이다.
또한 한국지역난방공사는 성금 전달 뿐만 아니라 에너지 비용 부담이 큰 사회복지시설을 대상으로 에너지 진단 컨설팅 후 에너지시설 시공(설비·단열개선 등) 및 고효율 냉난방기기 지원사업을 연내 추진할 예정이다.
강진 한국지역난방공사 경영관리처장은 “에너지 효율 플러스는 범사회적 이슈인 에너지 효율 개선에 기여하기 위해 한난이 올해 새롭게 추진하는 대표 사회공헌 사업이다” 라며 “한국지역난방공사는 따뜻하고 깨끗한 에너지 파트너로서 에너지 사각지대 해소를 위한 에너지 효율 기반의 사회공헌 사업을 지속 전개해 에너지 복지 실천에 적극 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.
신혜영 서울 사랑의열매 사무처장은 “한국지역난방공사가 지원하는 고효율 선풍기는 에너지 취약가구의 환경적인 개선을 도모하는 마중물이 될 것”라며 “기후위기에 가장 힘든 에너지 취약계층을 위해 서울 사랑의열매도 노력하겠다”라고 덧붙였다.
한편 한국지역난방공사는 서울 사랑의열매가 진행하고 있는 일상회복 착!착!착! 나눔캠페인의 22호 기부자가 됐다. 서울 사랑의열매의 일상회복 착!착!착! 나눔캠페인은 기후위기로 힘들어하는 취약계층의 일상회복 지원을 위해 6월 15일부터 7월 31일간 진행하고 있다.
