브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 북한 전승절(한국전쟁 정전협정 체결일) 70주년을 맞아 중국과 러시아 대표단이 방북하며 북중·러 밀착하는 모습을 보이고 있다.
이에 미국은 북한과 러시아간 무기거래 논의가 진행될 것이라고 관측하고 있다.
조선중앙통신은 27일 김정은 국무위원장이 26일 러시아 군사대표단 단장인 세르게이 쇼이구 러시아 국방장관을 접견했다고 밝혔다.
통신은 "국방안전 분야에서 호상(상호) 관심사로 되는 문제들과 지역 및 국제안보 환경에 대한 평가와 의견을 교환하였으며 견해일치를 보았다"면서 "급변하는 지역 및 국제안보 환경에 대처하여 국방안전 분야에서 두 나라 사이의 전략전술적 협동과 협조를 더욱 심화발전 시켜나가는 계기가 됐다"고 전했다.
통신은 또한 26일 만수대의사당에서 리훙중 전국인민대표대회(전인대) 상무위원회 부위원장(국회부의장 격)이 이끄는 중국 당 및 정부대표단을 환영하는 연회를 마련했다고 보도했다.
북한에선 최룡해 최고인민회의 상임위원회 위원장과 김성남 부장, 강윤석 최고인민회의 상임위원회 부위원장 등이 연회에 참석했다.
통신은 이날 연회에 대해 "화기애애한 분위기", "열렬히 환영", "따뜻하고 친선적인 분위기" 등의 표현들을 써가며 환대의 뜻을 표했다.
한편 미국은 러시아가 이번 방북을 통해 북한에 식량·원자재를 제공하는 대가로 우크라이나전에 사용할 무기를 받으려는 속셈이 깔려 있다고 보고 있다.
존 커비 백악관 국가안보회의(NSC) 전략소통조정관은 26일(현지시간) 브리핑에서 방북한 러시아 대표단이 북한과 무기 공급을 논의하는 건 너무나 예상 가능한 일이라고 말했다.
커비 조정관은 지난 3월 브리핑에서도 러시아와 북한은 무기와 식량을 맞바꾸고 있는 것으로 보인다는 취지의 말을 하며 "러시아는 이미 20여 종의 무기와 탄약을 북한으로부터 받았을 것"이라고 말하기도 했다.
