중견기업, 올 상반기 영업익 19.6% 감소에도 설비투자 1.1%↑

상반기 설비투자 6조8258억원..이차전지·자동차 업종 주도

올 상반기 국내 500대 중견기업이 영업이익이 19.6% 감소하는 가운데서도 설비투자를 1.1% 늘린 것으로 나타났다.

 

천보, 금양 등 이차전지 관련 기업 4곳이 설비투자 증가 ‘톱10’에 이름을 올린 반면, 네패스, 솔루스첨단소재 등 반도체 관련 기업 3곳은 설비투자 감소 ‘톱10’에 포함됐다.

 

23일 CEO스코어에 따르면 국내 500대 중견기업 중 2021년부터 2023년까지 비교 가능한 490개 기업을 대상으로 상반기 설비투자액을 조사한 결과 총 6조8258억원으로 집계됐다. 지난해 상반기 6조7543억원보다 1.1%(715억원) 늘어난 수치다.

 

이들 중견기업들의 올 상반기 영업이익은 5조8693억원으로 전년 동기 대비 19.6%(1조4328억원) 감소했다. 영업이익이 줄었음에도 미래를 위한 투자를 늘린 셈이다.

 

500대 중견기업 중 설비투자 증가액이 가장 큰 곳은 천보였다. 천보는 올 상반기 2053억원을 투자해 전년 동기 대비 1396억원(212.3%)이나 늘렸다. 천보는 새만금국가산업단지에 이차전지 소재 공장 구축을 위한 투자를 대폭 늘렸다.

 

2위는 1457억원을 투자한 KSS해운으로, 가스운반선 도입으로 설비투자가 전년 같은 기간 409억원보다 1048억원(256.2%)이나 늘었다. 3위는 1201억원을 투자한 자화전자다. 애플 납품용 부품 생산을 위한 구미공장 설립 등으로 설비투자가 전년 동기 354억원 대비 847억원(239%)이나 급증했다.

 

이어 △원익QnC(723억원, 299.4%↑) △하나마이크론(699억원, 47.1%↑) △금양(557억원, 320.8%↑) △무림P&P(526억원, 180%↑) △코스모화학(514억원, 349.1%↑) △코웰패션(511억원, 191.4%↑) △삼아알미늄(495억원, 812.9%↑) 순이었다. 

 

설비투자 증가액이 컸던 상위 10개사 중 △천보 △금양 △코스모화학 △삼아알미늄 4개사는 이차전지 관련 기업이었다.

 

반대로 설비투자를 가장 많이 줄인 곳은 크리스에프앤씨였다. 크리스에프앤씨의 올 상반기 설비투자액은 69억원으로 전년 동기(1469억원) 대비 1400억원(-95.3%)이나 줄었다. 

 

감소액 2위는 네패스로, 올 상반기 455억원을 투자해 전년 동기보다 1339억원(-74.6%)이나 줄었다. 3위는 올 상반기 1032억원을 투자해 전년 동기 대비 1027억원(-49.9%) 감소한 아난티였다.

 

​다음으로 △엠씨넥스(-828억원, 86.1%↓) △솔루스첨단소재(-722억원, 35.2%↓) △DSR(-608억원, 97.6%↓) △제이에스코퍼레이션(-482억원, 83.9%↓) △차바이오텍(-482억원, 60.7%↓) △이엠텍(-464억원, 81.3%↓) △아이티엠반도체(-457억원, 71.2%↓) 순이었다. 

 

감소액이 큰 상위 10개사 중 △네패스 △솔루스첨단소재 △아이티엠반도체 3개사는 반도체 관련 기업이었다.

 

업종별로 보면 이차전지가 포함된 석유화학업종의 설비투자가 가장 크게 증가했다. 석유화학업종 42개사는 올 상반기 1조876억원을 투자해 전년 동기 대비 3479억원(47%)이나 증가했다.

 

2위는 자동차·부품업종으로, 46개사가 올 상반기 7284억원을 투자해 전년 동기보다 2280억원(45.6%)을 늘렸다. 3위는 운송업종으로, 10개사가 2982억원을 투자해 전년 동기보다 995억원(50.1%) 증가했다.

 

이어 철강·금속·비금속(922억원, 20.9%↑), 의료기기(102억원, 16.8%↑), 조선·기계·설비(94억원, 4.9%↑), 건설·건자재(90억원, 2.4%↑) 순으로 증가폭이 컸다.

 

반면, IT전기전자업종 113개사의 설비투자는 1조7683억원으로 전년 동기보다 2978억원(-14.4%) 줄어 13개 업종 중 감소폭이 가장 컸다. 제약·바이오(-1448억원, 25%↓), 생활용품(-1371억원, 21.8%↓), 서비스(-839억원, 12.5%↓), 식음료(-342억원, 15.2%↓), 유통(-270억원, 38.2%↓) 업종도 전년 대비 투자가 감소했다.
