【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(사장 황주호, 이하 한수원)은 지난 21일부터 24일까지 대전 한수원 중앙연구원 등에서 체코 원전 부품 설계 및 제작 전문기업인 UJP社등과‘제2차 한-체코 에너지국제공동연구 기술교류회’개최했다고 24일 밝혔다.

이번 기술교류회는 한국과 체코 양국 산업통상자원부가 사고저항성핵연료 개발을 위한 공동연구과제를 지원하기로 함에 따라 지난 4월에 이어 올해 두 번째 개최됐다.
연구과제는 사고저항성핵연료 개발뿐 아니라 노심분야 기술교류, 디지털 인간공학, 기술기준 비교 등으로, 지난 1월 착수, 3년간 진행된다. 공동연구 수행을 위해 한국은 주관기관인 한수원 중앙연구원과 더불어, 한국전력국제원자력대학원대학교, 한국원자력연구원이 참여하며, 체코는 UJP의 주관 아래체코공과대학교, MABAVE社등이 공동으로 참여하고 있다.
이번 기술교류회에는 양국 원자력분야전문가 30여명이 참석해 상호기술 친숙화와 과제 추진 방향에 대한열띤 토의와소통을 진행했다.
특히, 새울3·4호기 건설현장과사고저항성핵연료 실험 인프라 등 국내 컨소시엄 참여기관의 연구시설 및 현장을 직접 살펴보며 체코 연구진들은 우리 원전의경쟁력과 우수한 설비 등을 확인했다.
신호철 한수원 중앙연구원장은 “체코 연구진들과의 교류를 통해 양국 산·학·연 원자력 R&D 협력을 더욱 공고히 하고,지속적 협력으로 향후 양국 원자력산업 발전 및 에너지 위기 극복에 이바지할 것으로기대한다”고 말했다.
