영화 ‘가로수길 이봄씨어터’ 제작사측은 8월27인자 보도자료에서 “2023년 9월 말 미국 뉴욕에서 개최되는 2023 뉴욕 국제 영화제( international New York Film Festival 2023 Diamond Globe Award)에 명품브랜드 최야성의 최야성 회장이 제작하고 이수성 감독이 연출한 최상아, 김승민 주연의 영화 ‘가로수길 이봄씨어터’가 경쟁부문 공식 초청작에 선정됐다 밝혔다.
뉴욕 국제 영화제 기간 중 ‘가로수길 이봄씨어터’ 는 9월29일 뉴욕 Cappa Theater 극장에서 상영 된다는 것.
‘가로수길 이봄씨어터’ 제작사 측은 “제작되는 한국영화 중 국제 영화제 경쟁부문 공식 초청작에 선정되는 영화가 그리 많지 않음을 감안하면 기본 작품성은 인정받았다고 할 수 있다. 이 영화는 이미 최상아, 김승민, 박근형, 한예원 배우 등이 참석한 해외 영화제 출품용 영어 자막 버전 기술 시사회에서 호평을 받았고 제작자인 만 19세부터 극장개봉작 메가폰을 잡아온 세계 최연소 영화감독 출신의 전설적인 멀티예술가 최야성 회장이 언 40년간 영화발전 분야에 헌신적인 노력이 인정되어 ESG 골든리더스 사회공헌대상 시상식에서 ‘올해의 영화제작 대상’, 제8회 대한민국을 빛낸 2022 자랑스러운 인물대상 시상식에서 '올해의 영화 제작자 대상', 제3회 K-연예스타 나눔봉사공헌대상 시상식에서 ‘올해의 영화 제작 대상’, 2023 대한민국파워리더대상 시상식에서 ‘올해의 영화제작 대상’을 수상하는 영예를 안았다”고 알렸다.
여자 주인공(윤희 역)을 연기한 170cm 53kg 체형의 배우 최상아는 SBS 어게인마이라이프, SBS 우리는 오늘부터 등에 출연했고 동국대학교 연극학부 재학중이며 2022년 대한민국 예술문화 스타대상 예술문화 신인연기상, 2021년 국가 최우수 지역발전 대상 최우수 신인여배우 대상 등을 수상했고 최근 코즈볼 화장품 TV CF 계약 하는 등 장래가 촉망 받는 배우.
남자 주인공 이 감독 역을 맡은 서울예술대학교 연극과를 졸업한 배우 김승민은 대학로에서 10여 년간 배우, 연출, 작가로 활동하다 영화 시나리오 작가, 영화배우로 그 활동 영역을 넓히고 있는 예술인이다. 그는 '대한민국을 빛낸 13인 수훈 대상’ 영화감독상, ‘2021 k-연예스타 나눔봉사공헌대상’ 올해의 영화감독상 등을 수상했다.

20여 편의 극장개봉작을 제작 감독한 이수성 감독은 시나리오 작가 겸 배우인 김승민과는 이미 여러 편 호흡을 맞춰왔다. 최상아 배우를 여주인공으로 낙점한 이유에 대해서 차분한 연기와 매력이 넘치고 앞으로의 행보가 기대 되는 배우라고 소개했다.

Chairman Choi Ya-sung’s ‘Film, Garosu-gil Ibom Theater’ selected as an official invitation to the 2023 New York International Film Festival
The movie ‘Garosu-gil Ibom Theater’ will be screened at the Cappa Theater in New York on September 29th.

In an August 27 press release, the production company of the movie 'Garosu-gil Lee Bom Theater' said, "At the end of September 2023, the chairman of the luxury brand Choi Ya-sung Choi Ya-seong will attend the 2023 New York International Film Festival (international New York Film Festival 2023 Diamond Globe Award) held in New York, USA. It was announced that the movie 'Garosu-gil Lee Bom Theater' starring Choi Sang-ah and Kim Seung-min, produced and directed by Lee Su-seong, was selected as an official invitational film in the competition section.
During the New York International Film Festival, 'Garosu-gil Ibom Theater' will be screened at the Cappa Theater in New York on September 29th.
The production company of Garosu-gil Ibom Theater said, “Considering that not many Korean films being produced are selected for official invitations to international film festival competition, it can be said that the basic quality of the film has been recognized. This film has already received favorable reviews at the technical preview of the English subtitle version for overseas film festivals attended by actors Choi Sang-ah, Kim Seung-min, Park Geun-hyung, Han Ye-won, etc. Multi-artist Chairman Choi Ya-sung was recognized for his dedicated efforts in the field of film development over the past 40 years, and was awarded the 'Film Production Grand Prize of the Year' at the ESG Golden Leaders Social Contribution Awards Ceremony and the '2022 Proud Person of the Year Award' at the 8th Korea Proud Person Awards Ceremony. Choi Sang-ah, an actress with a body type of 170cm and 53kg, who played the female protagonist (played by Yoonhee), appeared in SBS Again My Life, SBS We Are From Today, etc., and is currently attending Dongguk University's Department of Theater. Director Lee Soo-seong, who produced and supervised about 20 theatrical releases, has already worked with screenwriter and actor Kim Seung-min on several films. As for the reason for choosing actress Choi Sang-ah as her heroine, she introduced that she is an actress who is full of charm and calm acting, and her future moves are expected.
