【브레이크뉴스 영덕】박희경 기자=영덕군은 지난 12일 국사봉에서 송이 풍년을 기원하고 앞으로 열리게 될 송이판매장과 송이한마당 행사의 성공적인 개최를 다짐하는 ‘영덕송이 풍년 기원제’를 거행했다.

이날 기원제는 영덕군과 함께 영덕송이생산자협의회, 영덕군산림조합, 영덕군청년유도회가 주관했으며, 행사 장소인 국사봉은 전국 최대의 송이 생산지인 영덕군에서도 송이가 가장 많이 나는 산이다.
영덕군은 이번 기원제와 함께 오는 25일부터 다음달 15일까지 영덕송이판매장을 운영하고 다음 달 6일부터 8일까지 영덕송이한마당 행사를 군민운동장과 영해휴게소 특설판매장에서 개최해 다양한 이벤트와 함께 전국에서 가장 저렴하고 품질이 좋은 송이를 제공할 계획이다.
한편 김광열 영덕군수는 본격적인 송이철을 앞두고 영덕 송이의 발전 방안을 모색하고 송이 생산자들의 애로사항을 경청하기 위해 지난 11일 영덕군산림조합 임산물유통센터에서 ‘군민과 함께하는 현장 소통의 날’을 열었다.
김 군수는 이번 ‘현장 소통의 날’ 간담회에서 송이 생산 관계자들과 함께 영덕송이의 우수성을 알리고 인지도를 높일 방안을 중점적으로 논의했다.
소비자의 신뢰를 높이고 영덕송이의 품질을 보증하기 위해 등급을 나누고 그에 해당하는 띠지를 부착하는 방안이 제시됐으며, 김 군수는 이를 관계자들에게 적극 검토할 것을 지시했다.
이 밖에도 팸투어 등의 체험형 즐길거리, 품질에 대한 과학적인 검증과 이를 바탕으로 한 홍보전략 구축, 소포장 판매 활성화 등의 다양한 의견이 나와 영덕군이 이를 검토키로 했다.
김광열 영덕군수는 “올해도 영덕송이가 지난 11년간 지켜온 전국 생산량 1위를 고수하고, 대대적인 홍보와 판로 확대로 그 가치를 제대로 인정받을 수 있도록 이후 진행될 행사에 만전을 기하겠다”고 밝혔다.
