민생당은 15일 윤석열 정부 내각에 대해 "극우로 치닫고 있다"고 평가하며 중도 통합의 내각을 구성해야 한다고 촉구했다.
박성준 민생당 수석대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "국민께서 아연실색하고 계시다는 것을 정녕 모르는지 참으로 한심스럽다"며 이같이 밝혔다.
박 대변인은 국방부 장관으로 지명된 신원식 의원에 대해 "과거 태극기집회에 여러 차례 참석해 “촛불은 반역이고 태극기는 헌법이다”라는 망언을 자랑스레 외치고, 전직 대통령에 대해 ‘간첩’과 ‘초대 악마’ 등 입에 올리기도 민망한 망언을 서슴없이 쏟아냈으며, 홍범도 장군 흉상 이전 문제를 국정감사에서 최초로 제기하고 독립운동가 흔적 지우기에 앞장섰던 인물"이라며 "이런 인물이 국방부 장관이 되면 국민을 지켜야 할 국군이 정권을 지키고 편향된 극우 이념을 옹위하는 정치군대가 될 공산이 크다"고 지적했다.
이어 유인촌 문체부 장관 후보자에 대해서도 "굳이 말을 하지 않아도 이명박(MB) 정부의 문체부 장관으로 재직할 당시 성질이 뻗친다는 이유로 국회에서 서슴없이 욕설을 내뱉는 장면은 국민께서 어제 일처럼 기억하실 것"이라며 함량 미달이라고 평가했다.
그러면서 "윤석열 대통령에게 극우 친위내각이 아니라 젊고 유능하며 중도 통합의 내각을 구성하고, 이념 전쟁이 아니라 민생을 돌보고 경제불황과의 전쟁에 임할 것을 촉구한다"고 덧붙였다.
