【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=경주시는 추석을 맞아 지역상권에 생기를 불어 넣고자 시청 공직자들과 유관단체 직원들이 18일부터 27일까지 10일간 전통시장을 비롯한 상점가 등을 대상으로 전통시장 장보기 행사를 대대적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이번 장보기 행사는 전통시장에 생기를 불어 넣어 고물가 속 서민 경제를 안정시키고, 어려움을 겪고 있는 소상공인들에게 보탬이 되고자 마련됐다.
오는 21일부터 25일까지는 본청 부서별로 중앙·성동시장에서 실시하고, 직속기관 및 사업본부는 봉황·북정로 등 중심상가 위주로 실시한다. 또 사업소와 읍면동은 18일부터 27일까지 부서별 계획에 따라 자체적으로 시행한다.
특히 시는 유관기관과 자생단체도 장보기 행사 및 온누리 상품권 구매 활성화 캠페인에 동참시킬 예정이다.
경주시는 9월 한 달 동안 경주페이 캐시백 혜택 한도를 기존 40만원에서 60만 원으로 조정하고, 캐시백 지급률은 현행대로 10%를 유지한다. 또 10월부터 연말까지는 한도를 70만 원으로 높이고 캐시백 지급률은 7%로 낮춘다.
더불어 전통시장 등지에서 사용할 수 있는 온누리상품권 할인 구매 한도도 다음달 6일까지 확대한다. 지류형은 130만원 구매한도 내 5% 할인, 모바일과 충전식 카드형은 180만원 구매한도 내 10% 할인된다.
주낙영 시장은 “물가상승으로 인한 어려운 가계상황에 저렴한 가격과 넉넉한 인심, 향상된 서비스로 맞이하는 전통시장 및 지역 상점가에서 명절 장보기에 적극 동참해 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.
한편 주낙영 시장은 오는 25일 성동시장을 방문해 장을 보면서 상인들을 격려할 계획이다.
