최근 한국 김소월 시인의 시집이 뉴질랜드 크라이스트처치 중앙도서관에 진출했다. 크라이스트처치 지역의 가장 큰 도서관인 투랑아(Turanga)중앙도서관 비치에 힘을 보탠 사람은 박춘태 박사다.

“김소월 시집 기증은 크라이스트처치 지역은 물론 뉴질랜드에 한국문학의 우수성을 알릴 수 있는 계기가 될 뿐 아니라, 한국 문학의 세계화를 향한 기반이 될 수 있다. 글로벌 시대에 한류 붐에 편승해 한국인의 뛰어난 문학성을 알리고 싶다.”라고 기증 동기를 밝혔다.
