브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 아웃백은 이달 열린 쿠킹클래스 참가비 전액에 아웃백이 동참해 조성한 1000만 원의 기부금을 (사)전국장애인부모연대 내 송파지회에 기부한다고 26일 밝혔다. 이번 기부금은 아웃백 및 9월 쿠킹클래스 참가자의 이름으로 기부된다.
전달된 기부금은 발달장애인의 교육사업에 사용될 예정으로 (사)전국장애인부모연대는 장애인과 장애인의 가족을 지원하고 장애인의 보육, 교육 및 복지 확대를 위한 다채로운 활동을 이어가고 있다.
아웃백은 이달부터 쿠킹클래스를 자사 사회 공헌활동인 러브백 캠페인과 연계해 진행하고 있다. 아웃백 쿠킹클래스는 매월 성인/키즈 클래스로 이원화하여 운영하고 있으며, 이달부터 성인 쿠킹클래스 참가비 전액을 본사 지원금과 합쳐 나눔이 필요한 복지단체를 찾아 기부에 나선다. 총 후원금 1000만 원을 조성해 발달장애인 사회 적응을 위한 교육 지원에 후원하며, 추후 진행되는 쿠킹클래스를 통해서도 도움이 필요한 다양한 복지단체에 후원을 지속할 예정이다.
아웃백 영업사업부 윤다예 상무는 “지역사회에 실질적 보탬이 되는 사회 공헌활동을 꾸준히 이어가고자 한 노력에서 한 발 나아가 고객과 함께 하는 나눔 활동이라는 것에 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 사회 곳곳을 살피고 도움을 드릴 수 있는 다양한 사회 공헌활동을 전개해 갈 것이다”고 전했다.
한편, 아웃백 쿠킹클래스는 공식 멤버십 부메랑 회원을 대상으로 진행되며, 성인클래스과 키즈클래스가 매월 각 1회씩 진행된다. 성인클래스에서는 전문 셰프들이 강사로 나서 다년간 축적된 스테이크 쿠킹 노하우를 전수받는 특별한 기회가 주어지며, 무료로 진행되는 키즈클래스에서는 불과 칼을 쓰지 않고 안전하게 참여할 수 있는 프로그램을 선보이고 있다.
