브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KCC가 성북구청과 함께 삼덕마을 내 노후화된 주거환경에 대한 환경개선을 실시했다.
이번에 실시된 성북구 삼덕마을 노후환경 개선 작업은 KCC가 6년째 진행하고 있는 ‘온동네 숲으로’ 사업의 일환으로, 노후 주거단지의 열악한 주거환경을 더 깨끗하고 쾌적한 환경으로 개선하고자 정부와 민간기업, 비영리단체 등이 뜻을 모아 진행하는 사회공헌 프로그램이다.
삼덕마을 주거환경 개선을 위해 진행된 이번 외벽도색 작업은 마을내 주민들과 협력해 KCC의 친환경 수성 페인트를 활용·채색했다. 겨자, 파랑, 횐색, 분홍, 아이보리 등의 다채로운 색상 배열을 통해 따뜻하고 활기찬 느낌, 현대적이고 세련된 느낌, 아늑하고 평온한 느낌 등의 각 컨셉별 분위기를 적용, 마을내 노후화된 건물과 공공 시설을 깨끗하고 아름다운 환경으로 조성했다.
KCC 관계자는 “이번 노후 주거환경 외벽 도색으로 인하여 마을 주민들이 거주지에 대한 애착이 더욱 생겼으면 좋겠다”며 “앞으로 여러 사회공헌활동을 통하여 마을을 더욱 활기차게 만들고 싶다”고 전했다.
한편, KCC는 ‘함께 만드는 더 좋은 세상’이라는 사회공헌 캐치프레이즈 아래, 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하기 위한 ESG 경영의 일환으로 2018년부터 ‘온동네 숲으로’와 ‘새뜰마을’ 사업을 진행해오고 있다.
