In celebration of the 20th anniversary of city elevation, ‘Yangju Citizen’s Day Celebration Ceremony was held at Baekseok Sports Park.

In the second part, a performance celebrating the 20th anniversary of commendation and elevation to city will be held with an athletic competition and a singing contest.
In particular, this year’s commemorative ceremony made efforts to expand citizen participation by making it an ‘open event where citizens are the main characters.’
While conducting the ‘Citizen Recommendation Award’ to reward those who have made silent efforts for the development of Yangju City by being directly recommended by citizens, citizen representatives were recruited through an open contest to participate in the ‘Time Capsule Unveiling Ceremony’, a congratulatory performance.
The ‘Time Capsule (Memory Space) Unveiling Ceremony’, which connects the past, present, and future, is expected to have added meaning as citizen representatives of all ages, from children and middle and high school students to young people and the elderly, will participate.
