브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이스라엘이 가자지구 남부 지역에서의 일시 휴전에 합의했다는 외신 보도가 나왔다.
16일(현지시간) 로이터통신에 따르면 미국, 이스라엘, 이집트 3국은 가자지구 내 민간인의 대피로 확보 및 인도주의적 지원 물품 전달을 위해 이날 오전 9시부터 가자지구 남부 지역에서 일시 휴전하기로 합의했다.
이 매체는 복수의 이집트 소식통의 말을 인용해, 3국 합의로 가자지구에서 이집트로 들어가는 라파 국경 검문소를 재개방하기로 했다. 라파 국경은 한국시간으로 이날 오후 11시까지 개방하기로 했다. 다만 국경 개방 시간이나 기간은 라파 사정에 따라 매우 유동적일 수 있다고 덧붙였다.

블링컨 장관은 당시 가자지구 주민들에게 필요한 물품을 지원할 수 있는 방안도 마련하고 있다고 전했다.
실제로 이집트 라파 국경 재개방에 따라 접경지역에는 구호품을 실은 트럭들이 가자지구로 진입하기 위해 대기하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
다만 이집트측에선 팔레스타인 난민들이 대거 국경을 넘어올 것이란 점을 크게 우려하고 있는 분위기로 전해졌다.
