[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 지난달 22일부터 신원면 산들깨비작목반에서 23~24년 첫 딸기를 출하하기 시작했다고 2일 밝혔다.

이번 출하는 거창딸기 전체면적 중 6%로 본격적인 출하는 11월 말이다.

올해 딸기는 육묘기 및 정식기에 고온이 지속되면서 분화가 늦어지고 시들음병과 탄저병 등이 발생해 어려움이 많았으나, 정식 시기를 앞당기기 위해 농업기술센터 꽃눈분화 검경센터가 큰 역할을 담당했다.

검경센터는 꽃눈분화와 병해충 감염 여부를 확인하는 곳으로 지난해 2022년 58개 농가를 시작으로 올해는 178개 농가가 검경센터를 방문해 적기 정식을 위한 지도를 받았으며 지속해서 의뢰 농가가 증가하고 있다.

거창은 비옥한 토양과 풍부한 일조량, 청정한 수질 및 큰 일교차로 딸기재배에 적합한 여건을 갖추고 있어 거창의 딸기는 당도가 높고 경도가 뛰어나다.

현재 재배농가 규모는 415개 농가 177.4헥타르로 군의 대표적인 소득작물이다.
