강태선 총재는 시상식 인사말에서 “여러분은 대한민국의 희망이고 동량이며 미래를 책임질 진정한 이 시대의 등불이라며 세계적인 리더로 성장하기를 응원하겠다”고 말했다.
문일석 심사위원은 이 시상식의 심사보고에서 “올해의 수상자 4명의 면면을 살펴보면 각자의 영역에서 밝게 빛나는 원석을 보는 듯하다. 여러분들이 꿈과 희망을 가지고 변화에 도전하고, 자신의 목표를 이루어 나가면서 다른 사람을 존중하고 배려한다면, 우리사회에 꼭 필요한 사람으로 성장할 것이라고 확신한다.”라고 강조했다.
