국토교통부는 올해 1차 추가경정예산을 통해 대중교통 정액제 서비스인 ‘모두의카드’의 환급 기준금액을 50% 인하하는 ‘반값 모두의카드’ 사업을 4월부터 6개월간 한시적으로 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 정책의 핵심은 대중교통 이용액 중 일정 금액을 초과하면 전액 환급해 주는 ‘환급 기준금액’을 절반으로 낮춘 것이다.
일례로, 수도권 일반 이용자 기준 기존 6만2000원이었던 환급 기준점이 3만1000원으로 대폭 낮아졌다. 이제 한 달 교통비가 3만1000원만 넘어도 초과분에 대해 환급을 받을 수 있게 된다.
