24일 영덕군에 따르면 이날 개관식은 김광열 영덕군수를 비롯해 황세진 대구한의대학교 산학협력단장, 손덕수 영덕군의회의장 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.
영덕군 실버복지관은 연면적 1,034㎡에 지하 1층, 지상 1층 규모로 식당, 물리치료실, 건강증진실 등의 편의시설을 갖추고 있다.
지난 6월 심의를 거쳐 대구한의대학교 산학협력단을 위탁기관으로 선정해 지난달 25일 회원모집을 시작으로 시범 운영하고 있다.
실버복지관은 대구한의대학교의 한방의학을 바탕으로 한 건강증진 사업과 치매 및 자살 예방을 위한 전문 상담 등 노인복지를 위한 다양한 사업을 추진하게 된다.
김광열 영덕군수는 “대구한의대학교를 위탁기관으로 선정함으로써 실버복지관의 안정적인 운영과 한의학을 기반으로 한 다양한 노인복지서비스로 활력 넘치고 행복한 노년의 삶을 보장하는 복지영덕으로 한발 더 나아가길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
