또 1심과 2심 모두 국민의힘의 공천 과정이 당헌·당규를 현저히 어긴 것으로 보기는 어렵고, 심사 과정의 객관성에도 큰 문제가 없다고 판단했다.
이로써 국민의힘의 대구시장 공천 배제 결정은 효력이 계속 유지될 전망이다. 이에 따라 당내 경선 절차도 별다른 차질 없이 진행될 것으로 보인다.
