거창군, ‘가조IC~면소재지 간 도로’ 개통

[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 30일 가조면 제2한수교 일원에서 지방도1099호선(가조IC~면소재지) 확포장공사 개통식을 개최했다.

이날 개통식에는 구인모 군수, 이홍희 군의회 의장과 군의원, 지역 주민 등 100여 명이 참석해 준공을 축하했다.

이번 도로 확포장 공사는 가조IC에서 제2한수교 구간을 기존 2차로에서 4차로로 확장하고 원활한 교통 흐름을 위해 가조IC 교차로를 회전교차로로 변경하는 사업으로 총사업비 45억 원이 투입됐으며, 2021년 9월에 공사가 시작돼 2년 만에 준공됐다.

해당 도로는 가조IC와 면소재지를 연결하는 도로로 광주대구고속도로 개통에 따른 거창 항노화힐링랜드와 가조온천 방문객 증가 등 급격한 여건변화로 인한 교통난 해소와 도로 이용자 편의 제공을 위해 추진됐다.
